FORGE 2026 | Day Three: Rigor. Resiliency. Relevance.🔥

Today’s work at FORGE 2026 centered on the principles that guide Wakulla County Schools every day.

These three principles are woven throughout our vision to empower students, families and communities to support student learning and growth, and our mission to cultivate opportunities for all students to become lifelong learners.

Rigor challenges us to aim higher.
Resiliency helps us persevere.
Relevance ensures learning connects to the world beyond the classroom.

FORGE 2026 | Day Two: Growth🌱

Take a look around this photo.

These are the people helping shape the future of Wakulla County Schools.

Today, 85 teacher leaders, administrators and district leaders gathered for Day Two of FORGE 2026 to learn, collaborate and prepare for the year ahead.

Growth happens when great people come together with a shared purpose and a willingness to keep getting better. We are proud of the educators and leaders who continue investing in themselves so they can better serve our students, schools and community.

FORGE 2026 | Day One: Purpose ⚒️

Today marked the beginning of FORGE 2026: Forged through Purpose. Strengthened by Growth.

Day One centered on purpose — looking closely at where we are, where we are headed and how our work connects to student success across the district.

Leaders began the day with a review of the district’s 5-Year Strategic Plan and a Big Picture Data Review, using student achievement and operational data to guide meaningful conversations about the year ahead. This is the work that happens before students return.

FORGE is more than a workshop. It is the foundation for the year we are building together.

Attention Middle School Families!

It’s time to get ready for the next school year!

All rising 7th grade students are required to have updated immunizations (Tdap) on file before the first day of school.

• A completed Florida Form 680 or Form 681 is required
• The form must be electronically certified and submitted to your child’s school
• Forms can be obtained from the Wakulla County Health Department or your child’s medical provider

Families may begin submitting forms directly to their child’s school now, or upload them through the Focus Parent Portal.

We encourage families to take care of this early to avoid any delays when school starts.

Riversprings Middle and Shadeville Elementary students had the opportunity to Celebrate America 250 today with a visit from the America250FL Freedom Tour!

Students explored the America250FL Mobile History Museum, learning more about Florida’s incredible journey and contributions to the Republic. One of the most exciting parts? Seeing pieces of our own Wakulla County history featured right on display.

A special thank you to the Florida Department of Transportation for bringing this meaningful experience to our students and helping history come to life right here at school.

Wakulla County Schools is proud to celebrate two incredible members of our district family! ✨

💙 Jennifer Williams – District Office Teacher of the Month for April 2026

💙 Sandra Weeks – Shadeville Elementary Employee of the Month for May 2026

Though their roles look different, both women help create the caring, supportive environment our students need to thrive each day. Whether supporting students and families behind the scenes or welcoming them through the front office doors each morning, the impact they make is felt across their schools and departments every single day.
