Welcome to the Wakulla County Schools Virtual Backpack!
In an effort to save time and resources required by school staff to sort and handle flyers, approved flyers will be posted in one easily accessible location!
Your student's school backpack will continue to be used for school administrators, teachers, and the school district to send communications and information home to parents, such as journals, classroom news, and grading information.
Flyers will not be sent home in student backpacks unless they are directly related to school business and are generated by the school or school district.
On behalf of the Superintendent, the district Public Information department will review and approve all requests from external organizations to distribute materials. “External” organizations include any group that is not directly affiliated with the school to which it wishes to distribute, including other school organizations, parent groups, booster groups, and community organizations.
GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING A FLYER FOR APPROVAL
All flyers must be in PDF format.
All flyers must be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Flyers that do not meet those criteria will not be posted. ADA Guidance on Web Accessibility can be accessed here.
Flyers must relate to a school function, event or purpose, or relate to an agency that offers widely appealing recreational program options for students.
Posted flyers are for informational purposes only. Posting does not imply District endorsement or recommendation.
The district will not approve anything that requires solicitation for local service organizations. The district will not participate in the collection of money or pledges.
Flyers must adhere to WCSB Policy 9.40 and 9.50.
