Mr. Simmons’ class enjoyed a Community-Based Instruction trip to Publix, then returned to campus to make smoothies and learn how to juice fresh fruit. A fun and hands-on way to build life skills!

If you know Sean, you know this recognition could not be more deserved. He has quietly, humbly, and consistently poured his heart into serving students with disabilities at Wakulla Institute—year after year, moment after moment. His impact has touched countless students, families, and coworkers across our district.
This honor from the Florida Department of Education is a powerful reminder that kindness, patience, and service do get noticed. And while we already know he’s a winner, we’re cheering him on as he remains in the running for Florida’s 2025 School-Related Employee of the Year, to be announced in the coming weeks!
