Transportation
The mission of the Wakulla County Schools Transportation Department is to provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for students traveling to and from school and school-related activities.
Each year, approximately 55% to 60% of Wakulla County Schools students rely on district transportation. The department operates 33 buses, with each bus completing both a secondary and an elementary route twice each day. Collectively, the fleet travels approximately 1.2 million miles annually while helping students arrive safely and ready to learn. All buses are equipped with a two-way radio and 3/4 of the bus fleet are also monitored with video cameras.
