THE NEW DEFINITION OF COLLEGE AND CAREER READY
A new report from the Florida College Access Network highlights Wakulla as a leading example of career dual enrollment in Florida. According to Florida Department of Education data cited by FCAN, 36.1% of Wakulla County’s 2024–25 graduates earned accelerated credit through career dual enrollment—the highest participation rate among Florida’s county-based school districts.
FCAN also notes Wakulla’s more than 30 years of intentional investment, early exposure to career pathways, flexible options and individualized student support.
Partnerships with Lively Technical College and Tallahassee State College help expand these opportunities, allowing students to earn college credit and pursue industry credentials at no cost while preparing for college and a career at the same time.

Written by William Gleason, The Clumsy Custard is a full length playful medieval adventure. When danger threatens the kingdom and its princess, an unforgettable cast of characters is swept into an adventure where things rarely go according to plan.
Audiences can expect bold characters, over-the-top comedy and plenty of theatrical surprises as the students of Wakulla High School Theatre bring the strange and hilarious world of Zob to life. With a story that celebrates courage and friendship the production offers entertainment for the whole family. Performances of The Clumsy Custard will be held September 17–19 at 6:30 p.m., with a Sunday matinee September 20 at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
Come cheer for the heroes, boo the villains and discover what happens when a princess, a kingdom and a very unusual collection of characters collide in one delightfully ridiculous adventure.

Wakulla County Schools is reminding families that students may request approval to use private transportation for athletic events, extracurricular activities, field trips and other school-sponsored events.
The required Parental Consent and Release of Liability for Private Transportation form must be completed, submitted to school administration at least 24 hours before the event, and approved by the school principal.
Requests involving a student driving themselves or riding with another adult require notarization.
A written note or sign-out sheet alone does not meet current policy requirements.
