Wakulla County Schools is proud to begin building momentum for a new Sports Broadcasting course, planned for implementation beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.
This exciting initiative reflects the district’s continued commitment to provide students at the middle and high school levels with meaningful, real-world learning experiences. The program is designed to equip students with hands-on skills in media production and communication, including announcing, filming, editing, interviewing, and digital content creation.
From the classroom to the field, this Sports Broadcasting program represents more than a new course offering. It is a part of a broader vision to strengthen school pride, amplify student voice while showcasing Wakulla athletics in a whole new way. By capturing the energy of game day and highlighting student-athletes, the district aims to create new opportunities for families and community members to stay connected and engaged through livestreaming—ensuring they never miss the moments that matter most.
As development continues, Wakulla County Schools looks forward to building enthusiasm and support for a program that has the potential to connect our schools and community in new and meaningful ways.
Students interested in learning more about the Sports Broadcasting course are encouraged to reach out to their grade-level guidance counselor.
