February 2025—Wakulla High School wrapped up Black History Month with a powerful and engaging program that celebrated culture, history, and unity. The event, themed “Together We All Rise for Equality,” featured a variety of performances and presentations showcasing the talent and dedication of WHS students.

The program opened with a dance performance, followed by a student-led video reflection from participants on the 2025 Civil Rights Tour, highlighting significant moments from their experience. The WHS Jazz Band took center stage for two dynamic performances, while the Guitar Ensemble brought a melodic tribute to the occasion.

Through music, movement, and meaningful presentations, the Black History Month Program at Wakulla High School served as both a celebration and an educational experience. As program sponsor Farrah Donaldson reflected, “Black history is every day, because Black history is American history.”

Wakulla High School extends its gratitude to the WHS administration, the Wakulla County School Board, our Civil Rights Tour chaperones, and sponsors for their support in making this event a success.
