Local Scholarships

Local Scholarship applications will be available to be picked up in the guidance office. Below is a list of each scholarship and its requirements. If you qualify, APPLY!
To apply for the following scholarships, you only have to complete one application:
The Wakulla County Academic Booster Association Application.

Requirements
Coastal Optimist Club Scholarship:
Maintain good grades, active in civic, school, community, church and/or volunteer programs. Grades, ACT/SAT scores, and career goals will be considered in determining the recipient. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Judge A. L. Porter and Hazel Porter Scholarship
Good academic record, involved in school and community activities, and who demonstrates financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Ameris Bank Scholarship
Good academic record, involved in school and community activities, and demonstrate financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Frances Pearce/Jill Alexander Scholarship
Based on leadership ability and academic ability. Applicant will provide curricular activities, and honors received. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Fredrick Gilbert Memorial Scholarship
Based on academic record, character/leadership, and financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Wakulla's Men's Association
Based on academic record, character/leadership, and financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Wakulla Bank Scholarship
Based on academic record, character/leadership, and financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Guy Hudson Scholarship
Based on academic record, character/leadership, and financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
G.F. McKenzie Scholarship
Based on academic record, character/leadership, and financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Frank Snyder Scholarship
Based on academic record, character/leadership, and financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Keiser Memorial Scholarship
Based on academic record, character/leadership, and financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
CSG Scholarship
Based on academic record, character/leadership, and financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.

Recipient MUST attend TCC.

Paul Dubay Memorial "Wrestling"
Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Henry Vause Carpentry
Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Bonner Vocational
Good Academic record, involved in school and community activities, and demonstrates financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Townsend Vocational
Good Academic record, involved in school and community activities, and demonstrates financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
McKenzie Vocational
Good Academic record, involved in school and community activities, and demonstrates financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Brann Vocational Scholarship This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has a good academic record, who has been involved in school and community activities, and who demonstrates financial need. The recipient MUST attend TCC.
Veasman Scholarship This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has a good academic record, who has been involved in school and community activities, and who demonstrates financial need. The recipient MUST attend TCC.

Requirements
New Leaf Bryce Buchanan Scholarship
Open to students of the arts; worth up to $1,000. Deadline to apply is April 30, 2008. Applications can be picked up at the New Leaf Market Customer Service Desk.
New Leaf Matthew Tansey Scholarship
Open to students of health, healing or nutrition professions. Worth up to $1,000. Deadline to apply is April 30, 2008. Applications can be picked up at the New Leaf Market Customer Service Desk.
St. Marks Powder:
Minimum, overall 3.0 GPA in math and science classes. Completed four years of math and four science, must be pursuing a BS Degree in either Engineering or Computer Science. Good Character and financial need will be considered.
Crawfordville Masonic Lodge
Based on academic record, community and extra-curricular activities, and financial need. A personal interview may be required.
Wakulla Cattlemen's Association
Based on agricultural interest (veterinary medicine, farming, agriculture, etc.) academic ability and character/leadership. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Roger Stokley
Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, plan to attend a post-secondary institution for the upcoming academic year, and have an exemplary record of excellence and attendance. A hand written essay describing career plans, educational goals, and where you see yourself ten years from now is required. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Rotarty Club Vocational
Interested in attending a post-secondary vocational program. Based on character, financial need and academic record in vocational classes. plan to attend a post-secondary institution. Must be a Interact Cub Member.
Wakulla County Professional and Business Women's Association
Interested in attending a Community College, or University. Based on Academic record, community/civic involvement (including work experience), and personal essay.
Wakulla High School Art
Senior interested in studying art at a post secondary institution. Must submit at least a 8-10 original works along with application.
Wakulla County Recreation Board Athletic
Based on athletic achievement, academic record, character/leadership, financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Wildwood Men's Golf Association
Senior member in good standing of either boy's or girl's Wakulla High School Golf Team. Based on academic record (3.0 GPA) character/leadership and financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Distler Memorial Golf
Senior member in good standing of either boys' or girls' Wakulla High Golf Team. Based on academic record on academic record, character and financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Brain Parsons Memorial
WHS Boys' Senior Varsity Soccer player during the 2006-2007 seasons. 2.0 GPA. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Anita Townsend Nursing
Recipient MUST attend TCC of Nursing. Based on a good academic record, character/leadership and financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Wakulla County Elected Official
Based on academic, character/leadership, financial need and a one page essay on "The Importance of Continuing Your Education". Recipient MUST attend TCC.
Rotary Club Academic
Good academic record record, who has been involved in school and community activities and who demonstrates financial need. Recipient MUST attend TCC. Only open to Interact Club Members.
