Dramatis Personae

This extracurricular club of Theater enthusiasts meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month in Ms. Solburg's room after school. Officers are elected every April and installed in May at the end-of-the-year banquet. Officers must already have the quality points to be eligible for membership in the International Thespian Society; an honor society for high school theater students. This allows officers to meet over the summer months and plan activities for the coming school year.

All of these students are members of Thespian Troupe #5036

Anyone can join Dramatis Personae. The dues are only $5.00 per year. Students can participate in a variety of activities throughout the year. This year there is an Improv Comedy Troupe that meets after school to just have fun. Dramatis Personae members also participate in other activities and fund raisers such as "Relay for Life", "Mexico Abroad", etc.

Dramatis Personae produces a series of series of events during the school year:

1. The Annual Night of One-Act Plays every November
   This Year the two plays are "This is a Test" by Stephen Gregg and
   "Divided We Fall ~ Together We Dance" by Susan Soulburg
   Dates for performance are:
   Thursday ~ November 15th 7:30 P.M. STUDENT NIGHT
   Friday & Saturday ~ November 16th & 17th 7:30 P.M.
   Sunday ~ November 18th 2:30 P.M.

2. The Winter Talent Show ~ Friday ~ December 14th 7:30 P.M.
   Tryouts are open to all WHS students to showcase their talent WHS Auditorium
   
3. Dessert Theater ~ Tuesday ~ January 15th 6:30 P.M.
   A showcase of all events that Thespian Troupe #5036 will be taking to WHS Auditorium and Lobby
   
4. The Distic One Thespian Festival
   Niceville, Florida at Okaloosa Walton College
   We must quailfy in order to go to State
   Friday & Saturday January 18th & 19th, 2008
   
5. The Spring Talent Show
   Open to all talented WHS students with an emphasis on bands

   Annual event to raise money for Scholarships in the Arts: all schools in our county participate
