With the help of Wakulla County Schools Superintendent Mr. David Miller and Principal Mr. Mike Crouch, Wakulla High School’s Carpentry program sold the house built in the 2008-2009 school year to the City of Sopchoppy. Under the supervision of Mr. Keith Moore, Wakulla High’s carpentry teacher, a group of students constructed and completed the 1108 sq. ft. home.
The house will be placed in Sopchoppy City Park and will replace the park caretaker’s current mobile home. Jackie Lawhon said, “The Sopchoppy City Council was excited to collaborate with Wakulla High School to purchase the home, I look forward to working together in the future to benefit our community.”
