Summer School Information 2008
1. WHO CAN ENROLL - Student may attend summer school to make up a failing
grade or to improve a grade of "D" for grade point purposes if
those classes are offered.
2. DATES AND TIMES - Day 1 of each session, students will meet in the
cafeteria.
Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. No school on Friday.

Semester 1 June 11 - June 26
Semester 2 July 1 - July 17
Students must be enrolled by the second day of each session. Lunch and bus
transportation will be available. Call 926-7550 for bus information.
3. CLASSES OFFERED/CREDITS EARNED/GRADING - Classes will be offered
in
specific areas of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. No lab classes
or honors classes can be offered in summer school. A maximum of one credit
can be earned in
summer school.
4. ATTENDANCE - Students are required to attend classes. If a student
leaves after
lunch this will count as one absence. Any more that 10 minutes missed will
be considered an absence (arriving after 8:10 or leaving before 2:20, or returning
from lunch after 10 minutes). After one absence in each session, the student
will be dropped from the roll if he or she has a second absence. Three tardies
will be equal to one absence. Tardies include being late from lunch. Students
may NOT leave without parental permission and signing out.
5. DISCIPLINE - Discipline problems will not be tolerated in summer
school. On the
first offense, a student will be warned. If there is a second offense, student
will be dropped from summer school. Student will be dropped immediately if
the offense is a severe nature.
6. DRESS CODE - The school dress code will be enforced. Students violating
the dress code will be sent home and marked as absent for the day.
