This course promotes academic excellence in English Language Arts through the study of world literature and through enriched experiences in composition, speech, and listening skills. Earning a credit in this course precludes the earning of credit in English II.

English III (1001370) Credit: 1.0 Grade: 11
This course provides instruction in American literature and in English language skills. Earning a credit in this course precludes the earning of credit in English Honors III.

English Honors III (1001380) Credit: 1.0 Grade: 9-12
This course promotes academic excellence in English language arts through enriched experiences in reading, writing, speaking, and listening and provides instruction in the study of American literature. Earning a credit in this course precludes the earning of credit in English III.

AP Eng. Language and Composition (1001420) Credit: 1.0 Grade: 11
This course will provide students with an understanding of the semantic, structural, and rhetorical resources of the English language as they relate to the principles of effective writing. In additional to earning high school credit, students may earn college credit if the proficiency level is met on the National Advanced Placement exam.

English IV (1001400) Credit: 1.0 Grade: 12
The purpose of this course is to promote academic excellence in English language arts through enriched experiences in communication skills with an emphasis on British literature. Earning a credit in this course precludes earning a credit in English IV.

English Honors IV (1001410) Credit: 1.0 Grade: 12
The purpose of this course is to promote academic excellence in communication skills with an emphasis on British literature. Earning a credit in this course precludes earning a credit in English IV.

AP Eng. Language and Composition (1001430) Credit: 1.0 Grade: 12
This cours ecovers college material in British literature. In addition to earning high school credit, students may earn college credit if the proficiency level is met of the national AP test.
