PTO

The PTO is an important part of Crawfordvile School's successful atmosphere. It's goals are to promote overall quality and constant improvement of the educational capabilities of the school; to provide a forum for the exchange of information and ideas among parents, teachers, and school administrators; to provide an informational liaison between the school and the community; to provide opportunities for children to display work and/or perform for parents and other community members; and to raise funds to be used for school improvement

PTO COUNCIL

Each teacher should procure at least one representative to serve on the PTO Council for their homeroom. The Council meets monthly to make decisions regarding PTO activities and expenditures. Teachers should provide Council representatives with information regarding instructional needs. Each grade level will select one teacher to serve on the PTO Council.

  • Highlights from the 2005-2006 School Year

Highlights from the previous school year sponsored by the PTO Council are the Santa Shop, a float in the Wakulla County St. Patricks Day Parade, and the annual Spring Festival. For the St. Patricks Day Parade, Council members work under the leadership of a float chairperson to develop a theme, decorate a float and ride in the parade. The annual spring festival is held each year in March, but the planning and preparation begins in August! The PTO Council meets monthly to select a theme for the festival, solicit donations of Bingo prizes, prizes for the drawing of tickets, items for the silent art auction, secure cakes and goodies for the Sweet Shop and Cake Walk. It is hard work, but very rewarding as we enjoy working together to secure money to enrich our students learning while enjoying the fellowship in achieving a common goal.
