Medart Mustangs Hold Spelling Bee Competitions

Fifth Grade Contestants
On November 21st, Medart Elementary School held its Annual Spelling Bee. Each fourth and fifth grade class selected two representatives to compete in a grade level Spelling Bee. The fourth grade competition was held at 9:30 AM and the fifth grade competition was held at 2:00 PM. Allie Johnston, fourth grade student in Mrs. Beth Brown's classroom, was the champion with the winning word - smuggler. The fourth grade runner-up was Walker Creech from Mr. Tim Baggett's homeroom. Fifth grade champion, Connor Keith, from Mrs. Hoover's class, won with the word swindler. Jacob Evanshine, from Mrs. B.J. Ross' class, was the fifth grade runner-up. The fifth grade winners, Connor Keith and Jacob Evanshine, were winners in last year's fourth grade Spelling Bee competition. All four winners represented Medart Elementary in the Wakulla County District Spelling Bee hosted by Riversprings Middle School.
